Medina County’s FY 2026–27 budget projects a $5.117 million balance in its Data Centers Fund, with $90,000 in interest budgeted for road and bridge materials. Judge Lutz stated at Commissioners Court that the funds came from CyrusOne. The budget does not identify the agreement or any restrictions on the funds’ use.

Medina County Commissioners Court is planning to authorize $11 million in Certificates of Obligation, on August 24, 2026. The funds are not related in any way to the general budget and are for improvements to the County Courthouse and other County facilities, streets, drainage, sidewalks, utilities, landscaping, and related professional and financing costs.
